Currently, this is best supported in IE6 or Firefox 2.0. These provide the widest breadth of features. Unfortunately, there are limitations in browsers other than IE with the right click menu. Firefox also supports this, but the Firefox right click menu pops up over the PHP Navigator menu. This is a known issue, and one that the security inherent in Firefox demands.

In Opera, the right click menu does not work at all. This is a known issue, and one that is being investigated.

The Opera issue should be solved with the new version (9). Although my idea for workaround for older versions should also make it cross-browser compatible with other non-IE & non-MZ browsers (IE 5.5 Mac, Safari, KTHML, etc), and it should also fix the context menu bug in FireFox (IceBird on Debian)..

.. unfortunately I can not test any browsers apart from IE6 & FF2, so there will need to be assistance in this..

Technical: change context menu to pre-built in html, use 'display:none' to hide non-items for specific filetypes (folders, zips, images, etc), return(false) to cancel browser context menu. This is another "add to the list of reasons for a complete rewrite" things, although not major..

As of this posting, the only mainstream browsers _I_ have not current are IE8 & FF3 and the latest Opera >9.2 . _I_ have confirmed as tested and working:
    Win 2k: IE5.5, IE6, FF2
    Win XP: IE6, IE7, FF2
    Linux 2.6: FF2, Opera 9.2, KHTML
    MAC OSX: FF2, Safari ?

The issues with the "right click" or "context" menu are browser specific, and in some cases do not function at all, even when enable properly (eg. Linux Opera 9.2). All the above mentioned browsers function correctly.
