#7 special zip options

A Compress option should be added, similar to the search panel in the 4.12 proto-type, where a folder or a selection of files can be zipped to a specific destination, say for backup purposes, or for multiple download purposes.
I have code to create ZIP compression 0-9, GZ'ed files, GZ'ed folders, and BZIP2 files or folders.
A wildcard entry (like DOS ie. *.*, or *.php) can be used to specify filenames, but there should also be a "destination path" option as well
I have a need for this sort of functionality, and there are various other uses where this would be an added advantage to other users, especially project developers, for db backups also, and website managers

Which zip library are you using?
I'm going to look into this, and identify where on the roadmap it might fall. It might take me a short while, but don't be discouraged. Thanks for posting this, and getting into the developer's hands.
Although I'm technically QA, I still do some development, so I'm going to check this out and make sure everything is up to spec, we have the info we need to know what you want, then post back if I need anything else. Thanks!
this will be in v5, along with other possible compression schemes, as a plugin - not BZip2 is not resource friendly
