This tutorial shows the features of NavitConfigurator. Before starting with this tutorial, you have to install NavitConfigurator. See here for a detailed installation instruction.
Attention: This tutorial is still in progress and must be extended.
Depending on the installed version of NavitConfigurator, you can start NavitConfigurator by double clicking on the NavitConfigurator.exe file on Windows or by using the system menu Accessories->NavitConfigurator (Zubehör in german) on Linux. Then the main window of NavitConfigurator appears with no opened file.
Choose File->New from the main menu.

With the map view editor it is possible to modify the items in the map view of Navit. Each visible item in the map view is called a On-Screen-Display (OSD).
This sub chapter describes simple modifications of an existing item.
Each visible item can be moved with left-click-drag-and-drop, i.e. move the mouse pointer to an item, click and hold the left mouse button, move the mouse pointer and release the mouse button, if the item has reached the desired destination.
Each visible item can be resized with right-click-drag-and-drop, i.e. move the mouse pointer to an item, click and hold the right mouse button, move the mouse pointer and release the mouse button, if the item has reached the desired size.
