1. Options menu

In the Options menu you can choose the following settings:

• Settings or
• Route.

2. Settings menu

In the Settings menu you can choose the following settings:

• GPS or
• Map File or
• Display.

3. GPS menu

In the GPS menu you can choose whether you want use the internal gps driver by tapping the

• System button.

Alternatively you can use the gps port exclusively and directly. For that tap the

• Serial button.
  After that you have to set the correct com port number and the propper baud rate.

4. Map file menu

In the Map file menu you can select the map file which you want to use.
-> Sometimes not all installed maps are visible. In this case create a dummy folder additional in the folder where your maps are located. This will help to see all your img map files.

5. Display menu

In the Display menu you can choose the following settings:

• Units or
• Colors or
• Language.

6. Units menu

In the Units menu you can determine which unit system you want use. You can choose between the

• Metric unit system or the
• Imperial unit system.

7. Colors menu

In the Colors menu you can switch between the two color schemes for

• Day modus and for the
• Night modus.

Alternatively NAVeGIS can decide in dependency of the day time which scheme shall be used. If you want it, select the

• Auto button.

8. Language menu

In the Language menu you can select the language of the text in menus and information windows.
If your language is not available, you can create a language file according to the existing files. A language file is a simple text format file.

9. Route menu

In the Route menu do you determine the wanted destination. The following possibilities you have:

• Destination or
• Recent or
• Coordinates.

10. Destination menu

In the Destination menu you can determine the address.
Consider please, the quality of openstreetmap maps is only as good as the single individual workers have inscribed the data. Therefore, it may be that in the NAVeGIS menus are missing some expected data or data appear unusual.

On the keyboard you can type a letter. After that you get a limited selection of available names.

In the Destination menu you have to select:

1. Country: Some locations may appear under different names, in english or local language, with or without abbreviation. Each time, however, other destinations are behind there.
2. Region: This means normally a greater region inside of a country. Sometimes it can be a list of central cities.
3. City
4. Street

11. Recent destination menu

In the Recent destination menu you can choose one of your previous selected destinations.

12. Coordinates menu

In the Coordinates menu you can select a destination point by determination of a geographic coordinate.

• Latitude is the north-south position of a point on the Earth's surface. Enter this position in the form such as 41.88333. After that tap Enter at the keyboard.
• Longitude is the east-west position of a point on the Earth's surface. Enter this position in the form such as 12.48333 After that tap Go There in the menu.
