What is the actual COM port for the GPS receiver of your device? One option you could try is to manually modify the file "eGIS.use" located in your application path. There, in the [SERIAL] option tag you could change the serial port name and baudrate to match your device's parameters.

I have installed on mitac mio P560
Hardware GPS is on com2 at 56700 baud.
Setting in windows is software on com 5 at 56700 baud. TomTom and MioMap have no problem with these settings and detect the GPS.
Navegis is not able to detect a GPS. In TomTom a NMEA external is set.
Any suggestions?
Best regards,
Koos

I think that your issue is a bug in the way that NAVeGIS handles serial communications.
I have uploaded a new release of the application and hope that the problem will be resolved.

Hi, I have the same problem even with the newest version (2.0.0.7). The program jumps over ports COM2, COM5 and COM7 and gets no connection. The device is a Blaupunkt Lucca 3.3, WinCE 5.0. Is there a chance for a fix? Thanks.

Hi I have a Trimble juno 3B but cannot connect to GPS with Navegis 2.0.1.1 installed. It keeps on saying waiting for GPS signal.on GPs settings on juno saya GPS hardware port is COM5 with baud rate 4800, the prot programs must use is COM4. But no connection from NaveGIS side. Can you help?

on the device settings it states that the hardware port for the GPS is COM4 with baudrate 4800, it also says on the device setttings that GPS program port for all programs to use is COM5. If I use this COM5 port in Navegis, it says "GPS device not found". It then jumps to port COM7 and searches for signal, then moves over to COM8 and COM 9 etc.
How do I set the COM port manually?
Thanks for your help

To resolve the problem, in the upcoming release all serial port checks will be disabled (except, maybe, dwMaxBaud > 0). Also, take into consideration that I have no more access to an actual wince device, so your feedback and comments are highly appreciated.

EDC Greece

Have you tried setting the COM Port and the baudrate manually?

Then, all effort will reside on GPS Intermediate driver. Hope to come with a proper solution in the upcoming release.
