  I've downloaded & tried to install NASM on a Linux system while logged =
in as 'root',... but the installation fails during the "make install" =
step.  Below is the info. that I received when it failed:

  /usr/bin/install: cannot create regular file `./bin/nasm': No such =
file or directory
  make: *** [install] Error 1

  After it failed, I tried the "make_everything" option to see if that =
would work,  but it didn't solve the problem & NASM is not executing =
when I try the simple "nasm -f elf myfile.asm" example.

  Can you help me solve this error so that I can begin to use NASM?

  FYI:
  - OS:  Lycoris Amethyst DesktopDX Linux    (setup with GRUB for a dual =
Linux/W98 bootability)
  - Kernel version:  2.4.xx?
  - CPU:  Intel Pentium II, 350 MHz
  - RAM: 128 MB
  - HD:  plenty of unused storage capacity
