since only nasm wants these, I'm unlikely to
fiddle with them... and in a corporate setting
folks might be unable to convince admins to
permit and/or support them

can we go back to not requiring these? if not,
then switch to pre-built documentation similar
to pre-built insns.dat stuff... plus dependency
checks/warnings during make
