Thanks for the advice. I did all this and nothing helped.

I deleted the printer driver, uninstalled the program, reinstalled the program, reinstalled the printer driver. In general, I tried everything that was possible. I even changed the version to 7 beta, but the error does not change.

The scanner starts to respond to the request and an attempt is made to scan, but then this error appears and I don’t know what to do

What's your scanner make and model? Unfortunately that's a very generic error that gives no useful information, so aside from the general troubleshooting steps there's not much I can recommend.

I understand. Before writing here, I first read the Internet on the topic of this problem and only then asked for help.

I use samsung scx-4824, connected via network.
Everything happened very strangely. At first it worked properly for several years, and then it simply stopped scanning. However, other computers work fine with it. Perhaps some update breaks its work, uninstalling updates also did not solve the problem.

I'm getting the same error, but only when I scan in B&W. The scanner works fine in Grayscale or Color scanning modes (HPB0689D (HP OfficeJust Pro 7740), using NAPS2 7.0.5.0. I even copied one of the Greyscale profiles and called it B&W, and only changed the bit depth from Grayscale to Black & White, and it always gives this error when I attept to scan.
