#1337 Dialing in NAPS2 settings for Canon CanoScan LiDE 120

i need best NAPS2 settings for Canon CanoScan LiDE 120: after multiple AI recommendations scans still produces heavy contrast and shadowing in Black & White mode. Scanner App: NAPS2 using the WIA driver – supports color modes and brightness/contrast adjustments but does not show cleanup options like Despeckle with this scanner. Problems: • Black & White scans come out too dark with blotchy backgrounds. • Grayscale scans look washed out when brightness is raised. • The scanner’s hardware thresholding in B&W mode causes gray areas to turn solid black. • Increasing brightness fades text, decreasing brightness creates dark patches.
