Hello.
I found NAPS2 because my old scanner software, Canon MP Navigator, will not start up on Windows 11. Your application looks great, except for one thing:
My scanner is a Canon MX410 printer. With all the scanning software I have tried, the scanned documents are too light -- almost too light to read. I found that with NAPS2, though, that the brightness and contrast adjustments under the Image menu work great for correcting images that have been scanned.
I assume that if you set the brightness and contrast in the profile for a scanner, it's supposed to observe those when creating the images so you don't have to make the adjustments manually after images have been scanned. That doesn't work, though. To get good images with my test documents, I need brightness set to about -385 and contrast set to about 750. I tried putting those values in the scanner profile and even tried -1000 and 1000, but the scanned images didn't seem any different.
Is this a bug or is there some other way to make the scanner observe the brightness and contrast settings in the profile?

In your profile settings, under advanced, check "Apply brightness/contrast after scan".
