Try using the MSI installer.
Thank you for the suggestion. The MSI installer does allow me to install to a different directory.
But, FYI, Windows complains that the MSI installer may be hazardous and I shouldn't run it. Works okay if I tell Windows to run it anyway. virustotal gives it a clean bil of health.
