Hi, I have been using v5.x.x happily on my Windows 7 sp1 pc, today I decided to upgrade it to the current version.
During installation it downloaded and it it seemed like installed .Net runtime version whatever succedsfully. But when I tried to run it, it gave me an error, that .Net v8.x.x. needs to be installed and it opens my default internet browser, takes me to a Microsoft .Net website where I can read that unfortunately this version of .Net is not supported by my opetating system. Now, what should U do.
I forgot to mention that on the Microsoft website I had a choice to pick between the Dev. or the Runtime version, I picked the runtime version.
Can you provide a screenshot of the error you get when you try to run NAPS2? It shouldn't require .NET 8 at all, it only needs 4.6.2 or 4.8 which should already be installed by Windows Update if you have SP1.
I am sorry, I did create a screenshot but I forgot to save it. But, the error message said that .Net Framework v. 4.6.2 was not installed. Today I downloaded and installed it, now the NAPS2 runs fine. I have no idea why I got that error message, maybe some files of .Net Framework got damaged earlier. So, the problem is solved. :)
And if .NET 4.8 wasn't downloaded through Windows Update for whatever reason, you can download it here:
