Hello,
I have annotated [as in drawing lines, filling in forms, etc] a PDF document with PDF Xchange Program and when importing that document to NAPS2 (last 7 beta version), the annotations lost.
Can you please add this feature to NAPS 2 ? (KEEP ANNOTATIONS when importing an annotated pdf document to NAPS 2)
Thanks for this great program.
If you import and then save, does the saved document have the annotations? i.e. is the issue just that NAPS2 isn't displaying the annotations, or are they lost entirely?
Hello,
Unfortunately the annotations are lost entirely after save the document.
We will be very glad if next update fix this annotation error, please.
Please try 7.0b9 and see if that fixes the issue of losing annotations after saving.
Hello,
I try version 7.0b9 and here is what happens when importing an annotated PDF to NAPS2:
(1) The annotations are NOT shown in NAPS2 screen, but when NAPS2 save it as PDF the
annotations are kept OK in the created PDF.
(2) BUT when NAPS2 save it as IMAGE (JPG or PNG), the annotations are ΝΟΤ kept in the
created IMAGE, unfortunately.
So, please, is there a way to:
(a) Add a setting to FLATTEN the annotations in the created PDF? (because there are not
flattened).
(b) SHOW annotations in NAPS2 screen workplace.
(c) KEEP annotations when NAPS2 save as IMAGE (JPG or PNG).
Thank you very very much!

Annotations should now be rendered in 7.1.0.
Thank you very very much!
Version 7.1.0 YES render Annotations!
Only one wish for future update, please:
Can you please add a setting to FLATTEN the annotations in the created PDF?
Note:
I use the following Ghostscript command to Flatten pdf annotations:
gswin32.exe -o FlattenedPDF.pdf -dPreserveAnnots=false -sDEVICE=pdfwrite input.pdf
We will be very happy if you can add this wonderful feature FLATTEN PDF ANNOTATIONS in pdf settings section in your next release, please.
