Hi,
on my Mac M1 i can scan only one times, the second try displays the offline message. If i create a new profile i can again only scan one times.
I saw that the USB device number is chaning after one scan and counts up, is there a USB bus reset in NASP2? Please see screenshots.

Any help would be great to find a soulution, mayn thanks!

Regards
Carsten

Is this with "Apple Driver" or "SANE Driver"? What scanner model are you using?

The best short-term solution is probably to not select the device in the profile, leave it blank - then it will prompt to choose when you scan.

    Hello,
I'm trying to use NAPS2 to save a Canoscan 8600F from the recycle heap. The scanner functions fine with VueScan, but the cost is more than value of scanner. I found NAPS2 will work once but I get the same error as described in ticket 1002. 2nd sheet of scan says device is offline. Your blank profile workaround will work, but let's say it's "cumbersome" and req'd for each page of a doc. Has there been an update to this ticket or fixes made in beta to test? My system is Mac OS Catalina 10.15 with scanner connected physically by USB. NAPS2 has to have SAIN selected to find scanner 8600f(gensys). I did not find any relevant info in either error log or debug log, but that doesn't mean it's not there.
    Thanks in advance, M.

    Hello,
    same issue here.
    My System: Linux Mint
My Scanner: Brother MFC-L2750DW connected via wifi
I select a profile and can only scan once. Second try I get the error-message that the scanner was offline.

This is the output of the error-log:

    2024-02-16 11:01:32.4681 1859 Error parsing ESCL service System.ArgumentException: Missing host/IP/port/uuid
       at EsclService NAPS2.Escl.Client.EsclServiceLocator.ParseService(ServiceInstanceDiscoveryEventArgs args)
       at NAPS2.Escl.Client.EsclServiceLocator(Action<EsclService> serviceCallback)+(object _, ServiceInstanceDiscoveryEventArgs args) => { }

    Did anyone solve this issue?
    Thanks in advance!

Have you tried with the latest version 7.3.1?

      yes, just this morning

The original issue in this ticket (for the SANE driver) was fixed in 7.3.1. It looks like you're using the ESCL driver, can you open a new ticket for that?

That solved my issue. I switched to SANE driver and now it works flawlessly. Thanks a lot
