Confusion about batches

I just downloaded this wonderful scanning software, but I have a question about how to group together pages. With windows fax and scan, when I scanned in a pile of 15 pages for example, they would save as one tiff file instead of 15 different files. We are scanning in medical records which are all in bunches based on type, with some numbering over 80 pages, so being able to have them grouped in 4-5 groups per charts is far easier than having hundreds of individual pages to upload. The thing is, I thought using batch scan would accomplish this, but it still scanned all the pages as separate pages. On a side note, is there any way to make the back sides of duplex pages print flipped? Because the back sides of these pages are naturally upside down, so I want them to be right side up without having to click rotate on every single one. Thanks to anyone who can help.

If you want to save multiple pages to a single file you can do that without using batches. It just depends on the file type. For example, you can scan in 20 pages, then click Save Images, save as a TIFF file, and they will all be in one file.

Batch scan can be used if you want to scan multiple groups of pages at once to multiple files. For example, if you use the following settings, you can put in one group at a time and each group will be saved to their own file (group1.tiff, group2.tiff, etc.)

For the duplex issue, go to your profile settings, click Advanced, and under Compatibility, check "Flip duplexed pages".
