Just a little suggestion: it would be nice to have a button to apply the Bradley Local Thresholding filter (aka Adaptive Thresholding) on a scanned page.
Using Brightness and Contrast usually works fine, but sometimes a page isn't flat enough (like with a book gutter) and it would be nice to have a one-button fix if you have to scan lots of pages.

(Also, you could have an auto fix rotation angle using Hough Transform).
