I use radiomoi.com to generate a long list of my
favourite artists song names.
Is there a way to feed this list to nap so that it
automatically searches for songs then initiates a
download of the FIRST match.
If the transfer succeds then the corresponding line in
the list is deleted.
If it queued then the next song in the list is searched
for until
the max queue value is reached.
If a song fails to download then that particular line
In list is searched for again and the SECOND match is
downloaded. If this also fails then the THIRD match is
downloaded...so and so forth as long as Total matches
value is not exceeded.
I had written a script in expect to do this.It works
but every time a new release of nap comes out i need to
update my pattern matching strings which is a pain. Also
i have to parse a lot of junk that is generated by nap
and its slow.
Could u include this kind of a thingy in nap.It should
be easier than
doing it in expect.

A cool idea, but unlikely that I will do this any time soon.
I simply have no time. Also, such a function does not fit in
with the IRC-like feel of nap.
Maybe it would be better to add a "raw" mode to nap, where
commands are read from stdin and their outputs are written
to stdout. That might make it easier to write an expect
script for this kind of thing. But then again, maybe it is
even easier to write a script that talks directly to the
napster server?
If you want to share your script with the rest of the nap
community, I'd be happy to post it on nap's web site. --
