For each framework, nant.exe.config contains pointers to the various system dll's. For frameworks 1.0 and 1.1, the following line is missing from the referenced-assemblies section:

<include name="Microsoft.VisualBasic.Compatibility.dll" />

    Are you sure that this assembly also exists in .NET Framework 1.0?

    On my system it's only available for .NET Framework 1.1 (and 2.0).

    Should I also add "Microsoft.VisualBasic.Compatibility.Data.dll" ?

    Fair question; it's been so long since I had 1.0, I don't know for sure. But, that dll and Microsoft.VisualBasic.Compatibility.Data.dll were both available when Visual Studio was released.

    I didn't need it, so I didn't comment on it, but yes it should probably be in there as well.

    Fixed in CVS for .NET Framework 1.1.
