I found the solution if someone else runs into this error -- Plotly versions 3.0.0 and above represents figure.data as tuple instead of a list. https://community.plotly.com/t/attributeerror-tuple-object-has-no-attribute-append/11782 To fix the 'AttributeError: 'tuple' object has no attribute 'append'' error, create a virtual environment and download Plotly version < 3.0.0 (e.g. 2.5.0). Nano-GLADIATOR should run and produce the HTML plot.
Sorry for the late reply - was out of town. No I am afraid not. My mail to the author was not answered either. We do not consider nanoGladiator any longer. My colleague established his own solution, that will be released hopefully in the not too distant future.
