yesterday i heard jamie crank talk to a guy about how he spent part of his holiday at some fine chef restaurant and the food was "so f-ing tasty".

... that's not something i have to deal with. i don't know what it's like to miss out on things like that.

like you i also use money to get what i want -- but what i want is simply the validation of my long term strategic plans and decisions. proof of the virtuous result of an exercise in virtues: patience, discipline, frugality, self control, perseverance, consistency, conviction, delayed gratification, long term thinking -- in other words, proof that i'm right.
