This version corrects bugs of check "disk" and "disk_space".

1. With this version "disks" displays a "summary line" when used in Nagios 3.x.
2. It fixes a bug in the output of performance date in check disks

This version adds performance data to the "disks" check and enhances the check "services".

A new release (v1.3) has been uploaded.

The release contains some new checks.
- cpu_detail, cpu_perfmon
- disk_queue, disk_space
- exch_smtpqueue
- volumes

NAGIOS 3.x compaibility:
As an enhancement the multiline output is now compatible with Nagios 3.x.

WMI query timeout:
Now it's possible to better control the wait time for WMI query results.

This version contains bug fixes. Please refer to the download section for the new binaries and an updated documentation.

The first beta of Release v1.2 is now available. The zip-file now contains binaries for both .NET 1.1 and 2.0.

This fixes a problem using "disk" and percentage values (http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=1702626&forum_id=388026).

It corrects a bug when using "disks" to check all disks on an active-active cluster at once (resulting in an exception).

After some time of "silence" a new release is published. This release contains some new checks as well as enhancements to checks existing previously.

The project web site will be updated within the next days.

Because the original maintainer seems to not be able to continue his work, I'm going to do this.

Within the next days I'm publishing a new version introducing some enhancements in stability and some new and enhanced checks (thanks to "theifish").

I'm pleased to announce the final release of v1.0 for nagios-wsc. Thanks to the helpful suggestions and requests from its users, I've finally managed to release it.
It contains some slight bug tweaks from previous versions but I've tightened up the uptime checks to be more consistent for servers in differing timezones.

This latest version now has default values for the param field if none are entered by prefixing the servername with "debug*" you will hopefully get a better idea of what values nagios-wsc is working with.

Next release candidate of Nagios-wsc (web service checker) has been released. This project couples up with nagios to perform multiple checks of various windows boxes without the need to install clients on each machine.

Extra steps taken to ensure only expected queries can be run, including where they are being called from. You'll need to edit the web.config file to turn specific queries on now.
Please note that the generic_WMI method now present cannot currently be used by the nagios-wsc plugin as the output returned has changed format - it has been developed to allow other developers the facility to code their own nagios-wsc based checks.

Release candidate of V1.0 of nagios-wsc. Two new features this time round:
1) Contribution by Marlo Bell to monitor CPU usage.
2) Incorporate suggestion by Alex to build a generic WMI proxy method as part of this web service. Although it might not be immediately useful to nagios, it does open up some additional possibilities to those that are want to write their own nagios plugins (or even other apps). Feel free to try it out and let me know what you think in the forums.
I'll try to get the documentation updated to reflect the possibilities with this.

This latest release now enables the web server to use alternative username/password combinations.

This doesn't require any changes at the nagios end, only additional entries in the web.config file.

Keep the web.config file *SECURE*!

Following a feature request, ability to check just one disk (as well as all local fixed disks) has now been added. Check release notes for more info.

Finally managed to put pen to paper and get some documentation up. Check out the files for a pdf with consolidated information on nagios-wsc

Few more touches here and there - check the changes log on the download for more info... now, I really must document the whole thing soon...

OK, both parts updated to take account of unified parameter passing now. Hopefully, this really should mean that the perl plugin doesn't have to change much now - unless someone comes up with some neat way to optimize the code :)
Oh... and the .net service can check on services now too!

When ftp is working again, v0.5 will be uploaded which should have the ability to report on the host running the .Net web service and which also has improved output from the uptime checker - it now displays the time of last reboot. Oh and I've even chucked in some validation. No changes to the perl plugin required this time round, phew!

The http://nagios-wsc.sourceforge.net/ pages have now been updated slightly and also includes a screenshot showing how the results can be displayed within the Nagios screen

OK, so v0.2 never made it to Sourceforge but the code is now more generic so it should be easier to add extra checks without many (if any) changes to the nagios plugin as all of the work should now be done within the web service.
You will need to use both sets of v0.3 code for this to work though.
I'll try to work on some more documentation before deciding what to put out in v0.4... watch this space
