I'd keep it out completely, or at least the index.php's I added to avoid
confusion between index.html.

A good working version of the new interface is still a while off, but
the wait will be worth it if I can pull of some ideas I have :) I'll
show you what I'm trying to do when I get more of the layout completed.

And thanks for the other changes.
