nafe has been created, its
<<not another font editor>>
because it doesnt contain the actual editor, you can use any text editor for the actual editing, while the font is translated from and to easily editable text files.
This is an old concept known from ancient achitectures, but it was not yet found for linux console fonts, at least not while I searched it.
