Netautor Basic / News: Recent posts

version 1.40 of na basic is out. na basic now uses new odbc functions from netautor professional.
some features where added and the php code was optimized. we replaced some functions and fixed some bugs.
please check our help forum for more infos until new manuals are out.

in version 1.39 a bug in the meda manager was fixed, and a default user & default group was added.
the default user & default group presettings consist of an example "initialdoc" setting, which leads the user(s) automatically to the client index.php3 file ("netautor" page only, without menu).

deleting the mlayouts table also removes any user-generated layouts. it is recommended to backup them before (cut&paste to text file might be the easiest way).

also, after creating the new fto table, all user parameters are set to default and need to be set again.
further use of the old "fto" table (without deleting before update) is also possible, but then all ids have to be changed to the new ids as in the table "features". entering new parameters for each user is probably easier than this method.

In version 1.35 some tables in the sql database have been changed. New features have been added to the "feature" table; some IDs have changed, one feature ("wizzard" - unused) was removed. In addition, some bugs in the layouts were fixed (wrong text alignment, wrong table widths).

Before upgrading to 1.36 you have to delete the "feature", "fto" and "mlayouts" tables in your na_basic database.... read more

Version 1.36 released: fixed a bug where empty "target" values were not allowed.

additional graphics packages:
4 different graphics packages are now available for na basic >1.35:

1.: package with only the base files (required)
2.: package with only the system graphics (optional)
3.: package with only the background graphics (optional)

some new features added.

support for Imagemagick (http://www.imagemagick.org) added. this enables creation of thumbnail files (for the media manager) and resizing user pictures to a maximum width/height.

netautor basic 1.23 released: fixed two bugs which crashed na_basic under php4.0.6

well, it took much more longer, but finally we did it - the new release is now available. netautor basic runs now under php4, bugs are fixed, the interface is improved and much more.

the new manuals (client-, admin- and installation-maunal 1.2) have been released - client manual now with step-by-step tutorial

the new release should come next week, the programming is finished but we're working on the manuals ...

... no news for a long time - but this project isn't dead - we're working on a new release, the tech-thing should be done (hope so, fixed a lot), now we're going to clean up the gfx-thing - so please hold on ...
