1.) maybe you can attach or PM one of youre fit files.
which device/program did you use to create the fit file?
2.) maybe you use an old map providers.
i would install the current versions of the map2d provider: http://mytourbook.sourceforge.net/mytourbook/index.php/map-provider
"Thunderforest OpenCycleMap" is "OSM Cycle map"
without "api key" you can use it, but than you have a watermark.
1) fit files were created with garmin edge 500 and vivoactive hr. I get same errors in reports with both devices (fit files) but as i said, activities are imported correctly. i can send you fit file to test if you want - let me know.
2) i got those errors with installing maps from link you also send it. i use drag and drop function but no map is loaded. enclosed is captured error message from "Thunderforest OpenCycleMap", which you recommended.

2) i have just tested it sucessfully with windows 10 and firefox. maybe its a problem with the drag and drop. you can try to save the providers on youre desktop and after unzipping using the import function in mt. i am nearly sure that should work ;-)
