An omitted data test in MyTelly ver 1.5 was recently discovered that caused it to throw a CRITICAL level error (NPE - beginImport(XTVDtoSQL.java:169)) that should have been treated as a MEDium level error. An additional test for a completely empty/null program entry was added in MyTelly ver 1.5.1 such that the specific program is bypassed & the balance of the import occur.
See the version 1.5 files section, download the mytelly_1_5_1_patch_to_1_5.zip file & unzip it into your MyTelly 1.5 directories (overwriting the JAR & Readme.txt files there) should you happen upon the aforementioned (rare?/extreme?) data error or simply want the very latest version.
My Telly needed better schedule data feed fault diagnosis & tolerance. Perhaps version 1.4 was less tolerant of missing/bad expected data as well.
The new version (1.5) should eliminate full aborts of Update/Import schedule data when they are only Low- or Medium-severity. My Telly 1.5 bypasses bad/missing data for a program entry (Low), skips the program entry if the bad/missing data is required (Medium) and only fully fails for global/Critical errors. It gives a brief description of error(s) found & an error count (if any) in the Update data / Import dialog log.... read more
A new version of My Telly has been posted that works with the new Schedules Direct DataDirect replacement service and has some new features I mentioned a long time ago:
Here: http://billpringle.com/wrp/mytelly/index.html
For now anyway:)
It was very nice that Bill did this & too bad Tom & I couldn't take the time to integrate his suggestions into MyTelly... But I believe he's making his own app & that's always fun!
Thanks Bill!

Minor update to 1.11 Beta which replaced Zap2It provider with Schedules Direct:
Fixes: "Incorrect number of days since last download" & "Lose <saved data> on crash".
Enhancements: "Repeat or new episode info." - Optionally bold series progs tagged w/New. Two new related checkboxes on Options tab.
N.B.: Schedules Direct account replaces Zap2It account. May be transitional fix depending on possible future SD stream changes. See http://www.schedulesdirect.org/ for info (7 day trial, subscription costs).
According to http://labs.zap2it.com, the free TV listings service provided by Zap2It is going away Sept 1, 2007. This will affect all users getting US/Canadian TV Listings from various programs like MyTelly and XMLTV (http://xmltv.org/wiki/). Robert Eden of XMLTV is heading up the search for a new TV Listings source for open source projects.
Significant enhancements to the searching as well as usability.
This is a test release of all of the new features added by cfcubed. Check it out and let us know if you have any problems.
cfcubed has been added as a developer to MyTelly. He has made some significant improvements to the application and we will be adding many of his enhancements over the next few weeks or so. Users will like what he has done.
The MyTelly project is now a SourceForge project. This will allow others to contribute to the project much more easily. I already know of some great enhancements out there that I'm looking forward to have added in. More to come...
