Hi, I want to share my build of this new version. As my previous build, I'm looking for a minimal, compact sized device.

This time is as small as 77x68x30mm.

One of the major modifications from my original design has been the placement of the display. I designed the previous version as a device to be placed on the table, just near to the laptop, but I realized that I was obstructing the MLX90614 field of view, giving bad readings of the cloud covering. I resolved it by raising its position, but this made the display reading nearly to imposible (I'm only 1.66m tall), so I decide to place the display on the side of the device.

The inside has been reworked, replacing connector by direct soldering (much more small implementation) and avoiding to use a PCB board to solder the components (I soldered them directly to cables).

This is the modded Scheme that I used:

As the components used doesn't draw too much current, I was able to remove all the 12V circuitry and power the device just through the USB port.
I also tweaked the program to fit all the information in one screen.

It's an amazing project. My only concern is the heat. This new Arduino produces quite high heat and this makes the temperature readings, near to useles. I machined some vent holes near the Arduino, but they are not enough. I have to think on how to fix this. ¿Is it possible, for example to tell the arduino to unpower the wifi module? It seems that it is the source of the heat, and I don't use it, as I configured the device as standalone.

Thanks for watching, and thank you Robert for releasing this new version.
