I wanted to share here how I have achieved to use this project as a safety monitor in SGP, and be capable of abort the sequence. I've just started on this, so more test to be done...
To do that, it is necessary to install the mySQMPLUSUSB application as well as the ASCOM Boltwood Safety Monitor.
Connect mySQM to the mySQMPLUSUSB application (I'm using windows).
On logging tab, choose 1min log interval (quicker reactivity) and check Log Boltwood File.
Start logging. It will create a Boltwood logfile on the specified folder.
Now, in SGP, go to Sequence->Equipment->SafetyMonitor and choose the driver ASCOM Boltwood OK to Image.
Click on the dirver's Setting button
On the emerging window assign the Boltwood file created by mySQMPLUSUSB, and choose the preferred conditions for Safe/Unsafe status.
Connect the Safety driver. If everything is OK, it will start monitoring your system.
To test it, I started a dummy sequence, and after 10 minutes, I dropped water on the rain sensor. As expected, it takes a maximum of 1min to update the status to Unsafe and aborted the sequence (paked mount, disconnected gear, etc.
Now I want to insvestigate if it is possible to capture also the "values" logfile and point it to a Observing Conditions driver to be able to activate also the Environment dock on SGP. I tried to use the ASCOM Observing Conditions Hub, as recommended on the manual, but pointing to the ASCOM Boltwood Observing Conditions, without succes.
Thanks for watching.

Hi alberto.
I am very frustrated. I have made 2 SQMpro module in the exact purpose to integrate with SGP like you.
I have not found any way to integrate it as a safety monitor.
Rain status does not appear ASCOM when I try to write a rule with the safety hub....
And for any any raison the SQMpro is off, ASCOM and and SGP crash both and PC need to be reboot.
I do not found a way to reproduce what you have done.
There is no sqmplususb on windows. and on the sqmplus windows application there is no boltwood checkbox under log tab .
Can you extend more on what you have done ???
thank erwan

Ok, I have found that boltwood = CSII.
I have now other issue I have to fix regarding stability.
Web server on the SQL crash very often leadin to deconnection of the application..
The 7805 I have get quite hot, I have add a voltage reductor just before to reduce to 7.5V... wonder if the issue comes from there .
If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
That would seem to indicate something is wrong with board/connections
I would do the following to try and find the issue
Disconnect all sensors (power off)
Power on the board and see if the lm7805 gets hot
If no, then there is an issue with one of the sensors, and then power on, add 1 sensor, power on and check now to see if lm7805 gets hot. if not then power off, add 1 more sensor etc
If after adding a sensor, the lmxxx gets hor, then you have found an issue
If there are no sensors connected, only the arduino nano, and the lm7805 gets hot, then power off and remove nano.
Then power on and check for heat again. If still hot indicates an issue with the board. If not hot then indicates an issue with the wiring feeding power into the Nano, or a faulty Nano.

SQM+ sorry.
I have made 2 module with same component and I have the same issues with both of them.
1) 7805 get very hot when 12V input apply. I have workaround the problem by adding a DC DC step down module to decrease input voltage on the board to 8V. With this workaround the board consume 0.2A =>2.5W. I wonder if I have a whole batch of defective 7805 ..
2) After a while ..~20mn the web server become unresponsive. but the LCD still loop showing value....
What I will do now is to fully unsolder the 7805+ condo an provide power with th dc dc step dow.
Getting a little hot from the 7805 is not a bad idea. it will fight condensation inside the box ...
thanks

Hi
There is a new release coming soon. I cannot say if it will fix all your issues.
there should be 0 difference between the lm7805 proving power versus the buck convertor - the current should be the same, so something must be happening on the board to cause that.
Just for clarification
The ASCOM OC driver was updated a day or 2 ago, and passes ASCOM Conform. The rain property for the OC is millimetres per hour. There is no property for raining/not raining in the ASCOM OC.
Which would mean using the CSII file with a different app to keep track of "raining". This would mean enabling the logging timer and having "CSII" log file checked.
To keep the load down on the controller, it is not able to increase the frequency (less time between updates) for the logging functions, the controller becomes unstable because it just cannot keep up with a high volume of requests coming in.
We do have a lot of users that are running their SQM+ controllers for extended periods of time (days/weeks).

Hi, glad you found the solution! Unfortunately I have no idea about sql or electronics in general.

I am confused at to what all this refers to.
This is the dicussion group for mySQM+, not mySQMPro which the above messages refer to.
Please clarify for what project this is.

In the next public release, firmware 124-4, and the updated Windows App 0021 you can start and stop the web server from the Windows application.
No time frame on when but it should be soon.

I wanted to comment on an easy way to get your safety monitor. Go to this website
http://www.dehilster.info/astronomy/ascom_environment_safetymonitor.php
and download the safety monitor. You can also download the hub so you can combiine different safety monitors.
