I am using version 3.12 MySQLDriverCS and it seems that it is not closing connections completely to the mysql server. The MySQL server does not show sleeping connections, but a netstat -na is showing 345 connections to the server on port 3306. The only application being run on the 3 computers responsible for the connections is using this driver. After looking at the application code, it appears that all paths lead to a <connection>.close() command. Is there anyone that has experienced this problem or some way around this? I was thinking about using a persistent connection so that it would not have to create separate connections everytime, but I don't see how to do this readily with the driver.
