I've compiled the mysqlcppapi library under the windows version of gcc as a static library. If anyone is interested I can make it and the NetBeans project files available for download. Jay -- --- "There's a zombie outbreak! Oh, no, wait a second... It's just a bunch of kids texting." |

No, I don't think there is any way. mysqlcppapi is a dead project, you should be using mysql++ instead. mysql++ provides an API for setting the charset, with the SetCharsetNameOption class. |

I can see with mysqlcppapi::Connection conn; ... conn.get_options().charset_name; that client charset is "latin1", but how can I change it? Is there a way to invoke the http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.5/en/mysql-set-character-set.html using the mysqlcppapi Connection? Thanks. |

Jonathan, Thanks for your great suggestion. I found the mysql++ was better than mysqlcppapi, the later also has Unicode problem when using it. -Kevinew -----邮件原件----- 发件人: jon...@gm... The problem I got is after installing mysql in my linux box here, the include files and lib is missing. So if I can get c include files and library files seperately I could get a solution. The amount of spam hitting this list has dropped from 4-5 a day to one a week recently, and since one person expressed an interest in continuing to use mysqlcppapi, I will keep this mailing list open for now. I'm still not planning on doing any further development, but will certainly consider suggestions and patches by other people if they improve the library. jon |

That depends what you mean by "threadsafe" - thread safety is not a binary on/off thing. You cannot use a Query object from two threads concurrently, but you should be able to use the library in a multithreaded program (there is no static data I can think of that would cause initialisation race conditions) jon On 01/03/07, Nikolai Matatov <NIK...@am...> wrote: > > Hi, > > I'd like to run multi-threaded application on top of mysqlcppapi wrapper. > > I looked for references within the site *** > http://mysqlcppapi.sourceforge.net/* <http://mysqlcppapi.sourceforge.net/>, > but didn't find anything about. > > Please let me know if it is thread safe? > > Thanks, > > Nikolai Matatov > > +972-9-77***61525* > > ***nik...@am...* <::ailto:mai...@am...> > > This message and the information contained herein is proprietary and > confidential and subject to the Amdocs policy statement, > you may review at http://www.amdocs.com/email_disclaimer.asp > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Take Surveys.
