Initial Comment:
Compilation stops while error in contructor of Query.cc
and sql_query.cc

Patch removes explicit initialisation of std::ios.

Patch with

 - save the attachment in the same DIR the
mysqlcppapi-1.9.3 DIR is
 - cd into your mysqlcppapi-1.9.3 DIR
 - and type: #> patch -Np1  -i
../mysqlcppapi-1.9.3-gcc-3.2.patch
