I read an interesting article on this subject yesterday:

I was wondering if this sort of wrapper could be built into an advanced API for mysql? Any plans for that in this project?

Or maybe I don't understand the philosophy of this project correctly. Please correct me if that is the case.

  Just found this project creator's website and there is a SQLDict module. I haven't tried it, but it looks even more extensive then what I created.
