MySmallERP
Welcome to MySmallERP!
This is a small desktop ERP solution, created and running a small business
that I have been partering since 2007.
It has undergone major changes, since it has started as an OpenOffice db
backed up by a MySQL database and ended up in a PHP-GTK2 application.
Although it works and supports our business for years, IT IS VERY INCOMPLETE
and especially has no install scripts, nor initilisation scripts for the database
(this is because the database has only been live upgraded from version to version).
Note that this is not multilingual software and the whole interface is in Greek.
It was never released to public so far, as the code was never cleansed nor it
had ever reached a reasonably good state. It always worked bug free (up to the features
we needed/implemented), but its development was always every-day problem centric
and full of copy-pase... Still more improvements were being developed for
CRM/book-keeping/Inventory/Order support, but not in the formal version yet.
This is when I have started to consider deprecating this PHP-GTK2/MySQL version,
in favour of a new Vala/Python/PostgreSQL or a Gtkmm/PostgreSQL verion
(development has already started for the latter).
But since this no 'nice version' is going to happen soon, or at least while the
technology itself is still valid (PHP-GTK2, gladeXML, etc.), I decided to
release a pre-alpha version with the hope that it may be useful to somebody,
even as a code snippet!
