MySQL Server Monitor 1.0

After a few months of inactivity I just released version 1.0 of MySQL Server Monitor. The list of changes is quite big, so I'll only mention the important ones here. First, a big security issue is resolved, in certain circumstances your MSM configuration file was world readable, thus revealing sensitive information like usernames and passwords.

MySQL Server Monitor 0.1 beta 3

Today I released MSM 0.1 beta 3. It's most likely the last beta before the final and has a lot of new features and bugfixes.

For example, you can now see which server is taking so long to respond. In the default "Winter" template the time MSM needed to connect to the server and retrieve the data is shown, and the server is highlighted if it took more than 500 miliseconds.

Another feature, for template developers: Template Options. You can now specify template options in the template's XML file. These options are available in the template. A small example is shown in the Winter template.... read more

MySQL Server Monitor 0.1 beta 2 and MSM_connector 0.1b1

I just released MySQL Server Monitor 0.1 beta 2 to the public. I contains 2 new features, 1 for security and 1 for a new way to monitor servers.

The security feature is caching. Without caching it is possible to DDOS the monitored MySQL servers by simply overloading MSM with traffic. Caching is enabled by default with a timeout of 5 seconds, but you can disable it in non-www/config.xml if you like.... read more

MySQL Server Monitor: 0.1b1 - First Release!

MySQL Server Monitor is a webbased MySQL monitor for one or more servers.

Today I released MSM 0.1b1. It's nothing more than a first beta release to the general public, but I hope you enjoy it.
