Have you read all the news? :)
This evening (it is 6:01pm) here, I will work on the
user registration. Could you take a look at the sources
especially the myrpg/src/atlas/src/org/myrpg/atlas/ejb/Sequence*.jva?
In the myrpg/src/atlas/doc directory, there is a document dealing
with the generation of primary keys. Look for appendix 1, the concept
has been partially implemented by some one from Borland.

And don't fear to use the mailing list/forums/documentation
