Hi everybody, Here is a summary of the project for now (3 parts). -1- Who is who: (Correct me if I made an error) In alphabetical order: - allan_linga: Allan Linga is a developer interested in the development of Holy Factory. Sydney, Australia - almaslov: Alexey Maslov is a developer intersted in UML design and EJBs. He w= ill surely take an important role in the development of HiCare and Atla= s. (but *first* the spec... ;D) Kiev, Ukraine - c0rtx: James Hager is a tester interested in networks. He will for now tes= t the HiCare and Atlas server. Fayettville, North Carolina, United States - dalarcong: David Alarc=F3n is a developer interested (as Allan) in the develop= ment of Holy Factory. Barcelona, Spain - garethfleming: Gareth Fleming is a developer interested in EJBs but he's got a lot= of work and can't help us for now. North Ireland - golo_the_troll: St=E9phane LEMAIRE is one of the two project managers. He take part= in the specification definition, UML design and is responsible of HiCa= re. Paris, France - gsmattie: Geoff Mattie is an analyst interested in the MyRPG specification. A lot of work is waiting for him. ;) Atlanta, Georgia / Austin, Texas, United States - macnjil: Bertrand LE DOUARIN is a developer interested in development. ;) Hope he will have time to help us. Paris, France - mrzod: Odacir Ziener is a tester interested in the test of HiCare and Atla= s. ??? - myrpg: Lo=EFc Lef=E8vre is the creator of this project and is involved in = all the MyRPG aspects. He manages the team too and that's not as easy as he thought first (The website is currently not maintained). Paris, France - yokai: Milan Goellner is an analyst and is interested in the development o= f the MyRPG spec. ??? - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -= -=20 - - -2- What was made: - The technical architecture is ok http://sourceforge.net/docman/display_doc.php?docid=3D9251&group_id=3D450= 52 - The installation and configuration document is almost finished (for now) and I'm making an HTML version of this. http://sourceforge.net/docman/display_doc.php?docid=3D9322&group_id=3D450= 52 However, Allan and David encountered some problems. Try to read the source forge documents about CVS: http://sourceforge.net/docman/index.php?group_id=3D1 - A very little part of HiCare (client) and Atlas (server) have been made (available through CVS) and need to be tested. Because the RMI protocol used for the communication between HiCare and Atlas may (or not) pass through the firewalls (EJBs communication). Moreover the performance must be evaluated. Indeed, that will influence the future choices. screen shots: http://sourceforge.net/docman/display_doc.php?docid=3D9412&group_id=3D450= 52 - The MyRPG specification (HiCare, Atlas, Holy Factory) is started. Milan and Geoff has joined us to this end. I repeat myself, anybody can participate and add there ideas (follow my glance ;D). http://sourceforge.net/docman/display_doc.php?docid=3D9469&group_id=3D450= 52 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -= - -3- And now what must be made in an immediate future: - Continue the development of the specification. We *must* absolutely define in a document first what the project intends to do, its behaviours... -> Who: anybody, especially me Milan, Geoff, St=E9phane and me (Lo=EFc) - Begin the devlopment of the Holy Factory interface, think of its functionnalities (propose it in the working draft). This application will be a SWING GUI interface. It will render a world description and allow the creation and modification of a world easily. The world is decribed in XML so anybody who want to help to develop this tool should learn this language. -> Who: David, Allan, St=E9phane and me. - *Begin* to create UML diagrams (not need to be works of art) because they could be modified according to the spec. -> Who: Alexey, St=E9phane and me. - Continue to test the installation and configuration guide plus the light version of HiCare and Atlas. -> Who: Allan, David, James, Bertrand, Odacir, St=E9phane and me. Don't hesitate to reply... Regards, Lo=EFc Lef=E8vre |
