#39 USERS table no field 'otherdeptspending'

this maybe 'cos I havent got the latest version (some comment on the website about CVS)

but in file common.php approx line 1780
function getNewUsersWaitingForApproval

field 'otherdeptspending' is used when looking for people to approve but doesnt exist in the USERS table.

Is this legacy code ?

As there is no documentaion to speak of, i am learnign my way slowly through trial trying to work out how stuff works, excuse me if im totally wrong here.

Ive also made some a minor changes to pages (like toggleing the radio button when assocaiting new entries with people)

Also if I make changes how can I contributethem back to the project (im new to CVS) and how do i know which version im usning is there a file or setting somehwere in one of the configs files ?
