Allow the administrator to logon to the my groups and
open a group then using a checkbox to select
messages delete them. This action would help
administrators reduce spam and clutter. It would also
let the administrator do more selective pruning of the
group.

Extended thought: This asministrator account would
automatically have all groups for the system added to
the admin myGroups page.

I suspect that the Administrator would not be able to
delete the last message received. Also when the group
is opened it should display messages "threaded" to the
limit of the display. if the main message is selected then
the messages below it should also be selected unless
they are specifically deselected and then the oldest of
them would become the new main article.

Perhaps as a Administrator selectable option to help
cleaning crossposted spam from the system would be
that if a message is deleted in one group and the same
message is listed in other groups the message would be
removed from all of the groups where it is/was posted.

Administrator could perform a search for a part of a
subject or message and on the return of that list delete
the messages determined to be spam.

Administrator slectable option to keep a table of the
subjects for deleted messages and if the same
message is posted again it is automagically flaged as
spam and not retained by the system. This could work
as a kill file too if you could collect user names of
people that you will not accept post from.

These functions should cleanup the database when
selected messages to be deleted.
