I wish to build my own PDA and hopefully design a
low
cost PDA similar to the $100.00 laptop from OLPC
that
runs linux. I also need to know the following.
Where to donwload a good copy of Linux for a PDA.
Where to buy parts.
How to know what is compatible.
I want to have a PDA that can work with a USB 2.0
powered hub and can recognize a mouse and keyboard
as
well as use PCMCIA network adapters. If I can synk
it
with a PC that would be good too. I am wanting to
build good ones and low cost ones for the poor. I
was
thinking of using a solar panel on the back maybe,
or
a crank like on the OLPC laptop and AM/FM radios
you
see in stores.
