Configuration: Database tab

  • Load a default database on start up
    • If you want to always load the same file when you launch the application, check this option and set the filename you want you want to load ont he next line.
    • If you launch the application specifying with parameters a specific database to load, the option "Load a default database on start up" is ignored and Mylene will load the database from the specified parameter. But the option settings are not lost. They will be taken in account next time you launch the application without such parameter.
  • Default database to load
    • If the previous mentionned option is checked, the filename you'll place here is the filename of the database file you want to load when you launch the application.
    • If it accomodate you, the filename here:
      • May use environment variable
      • Be relative to the working directory when application was launched
  • Include the function to add random data (for developers, testers, etc.)
    • When this option is checked, the are few capabilities that will be added to allow to quickly add random entries related with "John Doe". These functions are there mainly for development and test to speed up thing by populating database quickly instead of having to manually enter many data.
    • This option is unchecked by default just so use don't accidentally populate his database with John Doe's data.
