I have built the lilygo t-motor version of this project and had it working.
it does however do one thing weird.
it will only connect to my wifi if i have power to the 3.3v on the P3 port! also I only need it to have this feed on for a few seconds then i can disconnect and connect the 12v and it will still work
i saw that Eric had mentioned not connecting the 3.3v during upload of the sketch and only the TX RX GND and I00 which I did not do could this possibly be the cause?
other that this issue it works very well and is totally silent in operation which was my goal

Ok so this is self induced
the 3d printed cover i made had a small bit of extra plastic that was holding down the rst button!
I am just going to sit in a corner and rock slowly back and forth!
