MyCollab is the final release of MyCollab 5.0.x branch. There are 10 releases in this branch and we did improve MyCollab stability, bug fixes and enhance MyCollab features over every delivery. MyCollab 5.0.8 is the last delivery of MyCollab 5.0.X series. There are plenty of changes in this release, and it is the recommended version for all MyCollab users need to upgrade. From the internal development, this version is isolated to the commercial MyCollab product totally. MyCollab community is the Lite version of our commercial products which has more than 40 sub projects. From the prior 5.0.8 version, MyCollab community still reuses several configuration options for the commercial product, and it has several issues due to these mixed configuration. We are convinced that from this version, we can improve the release life cycle of MyCollab community and we can add more features to this community edition without spending much effort for testing as we did in the past. MyCollab 5.0.7 is the minor release with only few additional minor visible features, but it has the significant change the way of MyCollab running. As the end user of the software tool, you may want to use the latest version of the software. This is also the wish of software vendor as well! Delivering MyCollab community version regularly to the community is our challenge as well. We always want user to use the latest version of MyCollab to avoid the bugs of the old versions, or security bug fixes. We still see there are bug reports from the very old MyCollab versions from users. There are several issues are well known ones and we leave them because  their importance is slow,  but most of reported issues are fixed in the newer versions but users are not aware. This issue causes the end users can not access the latest features, bug fixes, and security prevention of MyCollab if they revisit the download page and upgrade MyCollab, but most of cases they don't.... read more

MyCollab 5.0.4 is the essential release you must upgrade if you already installed the MyCollab before. This release only adds several minor improvements and features, but they are worth to install or upgrade due to the noticeable features:

Auto upgrade to the latest MyCollab version

From the MyCollab 5.0.x, we added the new notification to inform the site admin if there is the new version of MyCollab, then the system admin will follow the instructions of this link http://community.mycollab.com/upgrade/ to upgrade to the higher MyCollab version by himself. This approach worked very well since there are several sites admins reported to us that they did not have any troubles, but we want to make the upgrade process is even better!!!
