I have recently installed 3D live+MXR ToolKit (XP, VISUAL .NET, debug mode compilation).
I have done some tests with my P4 3.2Ghz, 1Gb RAM, GeForce FX 5900, USB2 Camera, but also on a Dual CPU P4 2Ghz, 2Gb RAM, Quadro FX.
I'm just interesting on the rendering part, so I mainly do some tests with simple3DL.exe with video input or the test image input.
A previous post was giving 24 fps at 320x240 on a xeon PC and 12 fps at 640x480.
Results:
using the video input or the test image give the same results.
The rendering is at 24fps but with a character of a size of 5-10 pixels. If you increase his size, we can say 30% of the size of the window (320x240), the frame rate decrease a lot to 4-5fps. if the character take all the height of the window the frame rate is below 1fps.
Is someone have better results ?
Did I compiled something wrong ?
Did the results of the previous post were with a character taking all the height of the window ?
Thanks,
Raphael
