A new release is in the works. There's a couple of minor bug fixes and one big addition. It will no longer be necessary to have IPP to use the CPU side objects/functions. This will make it easier to use if you primarily want to use the CUDA functions. The functionality will be more limited than if you have IPP, but all the basic stuff will be there.
