#78 "Name" field in "Taxon names" should check for duplicates
The "Taxon name" field for creating OTUs is very nifty as it searches for matching names in the database (just like the "Parent" field when creating a new name).
I would very much like it if the same feature was available in the "Name" field when creating a new Taxon name, but here mainly to avoid creating duplicate names by mistake.
I know I can check for the name in the upper right search box or the Parent box as well but requires
me to shift my attention and mouse to a different part of the screen at least twice. It would be great to have either that dynamic name list popping up in more or less the same way or some other indication that the name is not unique when typing in the Name box. It is of course not possible for MX to tell whether or not it
is actually the same species before the Parent is specified, but that should rather be up to the user to decide. In any case it might actually help catching a
misspelling every now and then, if for instance species epithets really should be repeated in species of different genera and the second instance does not find a matching name.
