The MediaWiki Vitrine project launches. MediaWiki Vitrine is a set of patches to pre-configure MediaWiki instances to serve as closed-membership websites by preventing anonymous visitors from using wiki features or registering accounts. There is also a collection of modified skins based on the MediaWiki skins that further hide wiki decorations irrelevant to anonymous users in such an environment.
