Metar Weather Report System (MWRS) / News: Recent posts

It's been almost a year since last update, and to tell the truth, not much have been done. The only thing I've done is bug-fixing, but I haven't been arsed uploading it :P. So, frankly, It's about time updating MWRS.

In the next release, which is planned to be MWRS final release. Will not feature any new stuff. If you have been following this project, then you've most likley noticed the Weather Prediction part, which never got complete, and never will make it. Now when version 0.96 of MWRS has been released, I would like some help from you guys, finding bugs. I'm sure many bugs might appear during usage, and would be very happy if you could report them using Bug-Report function here at sourceforge. Thanx in advance.

Along with many changes, MWRS 0.96 big new feature are the Icon print, which plots the weather with icons. This makes the weather report much more compact, and in many ways easier to just glance trhough.

The development with MWRS 0.96 is going well, we allready have a simple Icon - drawout for weather, but more features needs to be added to it. If you want a sneak peak, goto our homepage, and give it a look

The next release of MWRS will take a while because i'm working on a new graphical show of the weather, which will make it possible to have more compact and hopefully show everything in one screen (1024x768 pixels resolution, and 4 cities)

Metar Weather Report System version 0.95 has been released. Along with many different changes, the main thing is very much simplified usage, and changing locations. It now uses somewhat like an INI file for setup. Also a hudge amount of bugs have been killed. Looks like the Apache server with latest PHP installed is a bit more cranky about array usage than Uniserver is ;)

Yet another update of the MWRS. The main changes in this release is on the graphical solutions for the Temperature Graph display. Temperature Graph now prints Horizontaly (was vertical before) and improved graphics, with citynames is also included in todays release.

The next release of MWRS will include easier setup, and a new way of setting up new locations, using an INI file-typed configuration. The new way of handling location information will be cross-version compatible as much as possible, meaning you don't need to reconfigurate MWRS each time you download a new version. The MWRS version 0.93 takes the Safe driving, by reporting weather that might endanger driving, to a new level of visualizing possible threats. Version 0.93 includes a graph of the temperature along the trip, along with the AI report system dangerous weather conditions like snowing, freezing ect is easy to avoid, or become aware of. Drive safe out there.

I've just pulled away Version 0.92 of MWRS. Along with other changes, the main new things are:
.AI Humidity report bug fix
-> # Ai now reports Humidity even if
# temperature or dew is zero
.AI Warning report bug fix
-> # Ai reported for "snow grains"
# but not for "snow"
.AI now reports Clear weather even if "clear" tag isn't pressent, and
no clouds are pressent.
.Stripped unused and previus debug code

After some AI bugtracking, i found and removed an AI bug for City Calculation. Now also distances between cities is being used for the city calculation routine
