I remember reading something, likely in the changelog, about an issue in earlier versions with INFO items not being displayed.

Well, using the latest release (0.6.1) I tried using it to clean up some mods which had already been cleaned up using Enchanted Editor and TESAME off and on. My only remaining issue was finding an easy way to not just set the "delete" tag, but to totally delete the entry from the ESP altogether.

(Off topic, MWEdit finally became useful to me, and turns out to still be much more useful than I ever expected.)

While I was able to finally clean the ESP files, I stil lhad problems in-game with old dialogue no longer having it's NPC specification. My general-response NPCs (general shopkeepers and most of the travel agents) were welcoming me to Katriana's protective clothing shop from the Heaven's Lookout mod, which is the mod I had previously compiled together with some other clothing/armor related mods to fix compatibility issues.

While I believe I have now cleaned the mod completely, I was unable to use MWEdit alone to complete the process. I had to search for the name Katriana in all the mod's dialogue entries, then open up Enchanted Editor, load the same mod file (sure glad MWEdit doesn't flag the file as "in-use") and find the exact same ID# for the INFO entry, then use Enchanted Editor to delete it while praying it doesn't screw up the ID#s of all the rest of the dialogue (a common problem in that editor). MWEdit was able to find the INFO entry, but it couldn't display it in a box that allowed deletion/cleaning. It would open up the Greening# entry it was attached to, but that box itself would not contain the INFO.

I have yet to see if my cleaning procedure worked, but even if it failed, MWEdit is still worth it. Heck, none of the other editors give me a nearly-TESCS-style editing interface, while still loading the ESM/ESP files faster than I've ever seen before. The Script editor is amazing too.

One bug I would like to report that I haven't seen any previous reports on is with the dependancies. When I save a mod in MWEdit, and I don't have the dependancy ESMs loaded at the same time, the mod gets saved with a blank list of dependancies. while this surely doesn't break a mod, it definitely leaves some holes in the information I'd need when cleaning it again in the future. Easily this was fixed by using TESCS and just resaving it with the ESMs loaded. still, it would be nice if MWEdit could be told not to modify the Header if no new dependancies have been added, and if so to only Add to it, not Remove.

And...I think that's about it. Ohh, and I know it's a necessary evil, but I'd sure like to be rid of that "this version is a beta" dialogue when I start this thing up. Yea, now I'm done.

I'd sure love to know when/if any of this
gets improved.
