The atomic operations that are used to maintain
reference counts in the libcmyth code are written in
assembly for intel and for powerpc. The Intel versions
of these are flat out broken, and need to be replaced.
For the moment I don't have time for building and
testing these, and it is not a terribly high priority,
but I do have the replacement code written and tested
in a standalone tester. I have attached a file
containing the code. If I get time to do it, I will
submit the fix. If anyone else gets interested, the
fix should be easy to put in.
