Finally got around to setting up a mailing list so that if anyone has any questions, requests or required features then please get in touch.
The list is called muvon-questions and can be subscribed to by clicking on "Mailing Lists" in the summary page.

Finally MuVOn 0.2 is out the door and I hope to make the releases a little more frequent. This version represents the first venture into ipod territory with the ipod shuffle fully supported as the destination mp3 player. In order to use MuVOn with an ipod, you will need to install libjnigpod (also released) and a version of libgpod > 0.3.2. At the time of writing it is probably best to use a copy of the latter from CVS to ensure full compatibility.... read more
I am planning on the release of 0.2 for this weekend. It has been a while in coming due to the integration of ipod functionality into the project. This will installation of libgpod (available from the gtkpod project) and libipoddevice (available from the banshee project). The latter library is optional due to the requirements for it being a little new but in time it will become a requirement. These libraries should be installed as per their instructions and Muvon should do the rest. More this weekend...
The documentation for MuVOn, to give people a clue as to what to do with it, has now been released. It is all html so should work through web browsers.
An online version can be found at http://www.phantomjinx.co.uk/MuvonDoc
Finally after months of toil and wondering when I would ever finish it ...
This is a port of the Perl GTK version of MuVOn, written in Java and using the Swing toolkit. Rather than being confined to just Muvo MP3 players, it can be used to load data on just about anything but mostly removable devices like USB drives. As long as it can be mounted, MuVOn can copy to it.

The 0.31 version of Muvon has been released. This attempted to squash some bugs and add a little more checking of directory paths.
Importantly, in light of the planned release of the java version a new gtk package has been established and this contains the latest 0.31 release. The original muvon package containing the older gtk versions will be retained for the time being.
Version 0.3 represents the first version increase since the major redesign work. The interface has been changed to take into account the lack of sorting functionality on some Muvo mp3 players.
This will form the basis of a cross-platform Java version of the application.
The latest version of MuVOn fixes some problems with the install process. As always, feedback would be appreciated!
The second public release of MuVOn, a Linux-based application for managing files and playlists on Creative MuVo mp3 players, has just become available on SourceForge.net.
MuVOn uses Perl and Gtk+ to greatly simplify the use of MuVo players with Linux.
With most of the development work now completed, the project has moved into the 'beta' phase, with rigorous user testing for bugs still required. Feedback would therefore be much appreciated.
